Nature Poetry

Nature Poetry seems to be as inevitable for me as Nature Photography. Both are inspired by a singular force that is so immense and continuously present that I can't find the boundaries and I can't avoid mixing the ingredients.

I don't remember which came first in my life — photography or poetry. However, I do recall waking up one morning when I was two, walking barefoot across a dew covered lawn towards a morning glory on the backyard fence, marvelling at the sunlit flower, discovering my footprints in the dew and realizing I was in the midst of more than I could describe using normal ways of speaking.

On May 13, 2010, the muses inspired me again to let the beauty I love be what I do − this time by writing a poem before breakfast for an entire year. To see what has emerged from that project, visit . . .
