This non-indigenous Marmot appeared in a small garden at the Fairmont Empress hotel in Victoria. It is rumoured to have somehow hitched a ride there from Grand Forks, BC.
I woke up to this spectacular rainbow arching over and into the ocean at dawn. It curved completely and brilliantly across the sky and was mirrored by a second, softer rainbow.
